Making of 'The Wishing Fountain - مال عام'

'The Wishing Fountain - مال عام' enjoyed a long process after its random inception while walking on the streets of Hamra. Its construction involved a careful study of street beggars, their postures, and proportions, matching them with available material logistics.
I am very thankful for Ashkal Alwan's generous support and Beirut Street Festival's help in making this happen. Below are some snaps of the process.

The Wishing Fountain -  مال عام

‘The Wishing Fountain – مال عام’ is a public art installation in Hamra Street allowing people of the city to share money with each other while raising awareness about the escalating street beggars phenomenon and the increasing privatization and self-centeredness in urban Lebanon today.
